Secretions Clearance Techniques

With certain respiratory conditions retained secretions can be problematic.

It is essential to be able to clear your secretions and physiotherapy input may be required to establish a routine to achieve this. Ineffective clearance can lead to further infections and damage to your airways.

Breathing Pattern Retraining

The way we breathe has an impact on all our systems of the body, bringing with it multiple symptoms if we do not breathe correctly.

I provide a thorough assessment and educate on how to alter your breathing correctly at rest and during exercise, enabling you to lead a more fulfilled life.

Breathlessness Management

Post-Covid Management

Post Covid symptoms often relate to respiratory issues where respiratory physiotherapy is helpful.

Post-Covid management often relates to breathlessness management and fatigue management. These can be related due to the breathing pattern or can be  separate issues. Dedicated time will be spend on resolving these by education, retraining and personalised exercise programmes.

Feedback From Clients

Thank you for fixing me!

As a Long-Covid sufferer it 's strange learning to breathe again!

Vera made this really easy to understand what I was doing wrong and helped me to practice a new method. My breathing and energy levels haven't ben this good for 2 years and my Asthma medication has been reduced.

This lady is really magic

W, Age: 41 years

I first caught Covid in April 2020 and was very ill. This developed into Long-Covid. I was unable to work for 2 years. I could not exercise or attempt any sort of social activity. I was on heavy pain relief: morphine patches, tramadol and oromorph but none of them helped. I was referred to Vera after my  third bout of Covid.

Vera has been life changing!

She has given me techniques, exercises and stretches that have made a significant impact on my breathing and pain. She has trained me to breathe properlyI am now back working part-time, exercising as and when I can and have been steadily building my life back up.

She has made such a positive difference to my health and I am so incredibly grateful.

I would like to mightily thank you for the breathing help you have given my daughter.

In one session you have addressed an issue that afflicted her life with literally years of coughing and spluttering.

The result is amazing..

Two days of conference lectures in an air-conditioned hall and no coughing!

The relief for her makes me so happy.

You're a wonder!
